Club Sadowsky!!!

So, I'm curious for Roger to tell us the story with this bass.

That is a custom Will Lee 4 that we built for a customer in Japan.

The finish was airbrushed by a custom bike shop, then sent to Wilkins for the clear coat.

I called the shop and its already boxed up so they cannot confirm. The grain pattern looks like a 1 piece, but I think I see a line to makes it look like a 2 piece.... what do you guys think?

Looks like two to me. Love the grain, by the way.

It's a two piece, but they are matched sooo well! It's a killer piece anyway...and very light, you're going to love it.

Thanks for the input guys - decided to go with an MS5 (all my other Sadowsky's have pickugards and always wanted a Standard - found one at a dealer (Gelb Music) at 8.5lbs!!! Being the single coil junky I am, I have singles on the way as well.

VERY nice, and yeah, that's a two piece body.

I gigged my ash/maple MV5 both nights this weekend.
It's slowly been taking over the #1 spot in my toolkit.....

It's just such a chameleon!
With VTC rolled back a little bit, and no preamp boost, "it's just a nice, regular jazz."
No surprises, just lays in there and marks time; fills space. Perfect, most of the time.

But open the VTC up some, and twist the two boost knobs a lil bit, and it's a really aggressive mix shredding maniac.

I love that, about that bass.

Fit, finish, playability:
all so superb you just never think about it.
Strap it on, plug it in, and it lays in my hands just perfectly.
Awesome.

Yep. I like to boost bass & treble, roll the pickup knob half way to the bridge pup, then turn that VTC down to control the bite. It growls like a rabid tiger.

I hear ya. I had to get a 5 recently and out of all the basses I have, choose to get an MS5 (own MV4).

If I had to pick ONE bass to cover everything, that would be it.

I need to install the vtv on my 12 year old maple ash 5 string , just no one here in town I trust to do it , Seattle would be the closest for me , might just do it soon , I know I wont regret it .
