Club Sadowsky!!!

So, uh... Here's something embarrassing...

I've been trying to record something for my guitarist, and the sad has been overloading the input in a massive, peaky way. I though I had everything flat, right?

Then I went over to bass12's place yesterday and got reminded that the bass and treble are boost only. Whoops... Funny how different you have to approach a pre without a centre detent on the treble and bass. I guess I'm still in a Lakland headspace...

Allow me to publicly state how incredible that new bass of yours is. Wow. Of the Sadowskys I've played it's my favourite. One of those basses where every note you play just makes you want to play another. And the spalted top looks even more incredible in person!

Following Roger's advice is ALWAYS a good idea IMHO.

Agreed. When I ordered mine, I was set on it being natural, but he convinced me to go with vintage tint for the body because he said it would bring the spalt out more.

I kinda think he was right.

Any love in Sadowskyland for Mike Dean? He's the bassist of Corrosion of Conformity. One of my biggest influences and one of the reasons why I play Sadowsky basses...

Thanks for the input guys - decided to go with an MS5 (all my other Sadowsky's have pickugards and always wanted a Standard - found one at a dealer (Gelb Music) at 8.5lbs!!! Being the single coil junky I am, I have singles on the way as well.

hmmm.... good question - here is a picture of the back.

I called the shop and its already boxed up so they cannot confirm. The grain pattern looks like a 1 piece, but I think I see a line to makes it look like a 2 piece.... what do you guys think?

Looks like 2, mine is. I think they work hard to make them look uniform across the 2 pieces on naturals. Easy to tell if you look at the bottom edge by the strap pin.
