On a serious note, Vic I'm looking for a new Tequila...what would you recommend?
Well, I'm not really an expert, but I know a few good ones at this point... looking for a blanco, anejo, or reposado? Know the diff? And how much do you want to spend, and are you gonna' mix with it, or shoot it? What have you had so far that you like?

I am "somewhat" schooled and generally prefer Anejo and Reposado and I have been a Patron and 1800

Ok, then you probably know about as much as I do, but I really like the Partida Blanco, and figure their Ane/Rep are just as good, and price comparable to Patron, so should be good on that. I've also recently had a Milagro I think is pretty nice. Believe it or not, I think it gets mixed reviews, but I like Cabo too.

Otherwise, I think I'm gonna' start hitting sites like http://www.tequila.net/ for other advice, as well.

Their top awards for 2011, FWIW...

Don Pilar Tequila Añejo
Marquez de Valencia Tequila Reposado
Alquimia Tequila Extra Añejo
El Caballo Estrella Tequila Añejo
Don Julio 70 Tequila Añejo Claro
Dulce Vida Tequila Blanco
Casa Maestri Tequila Reposado
Tizoc Tequila Blanco
Don Pilar Tequila Blanco
La Cava de Los Morales Tequila Blanco

I've had the Don Pilars before and they're great, though I don't own any... yet. :)

Brief MVPJ5 thoughts:
Been playing it side by side with the MV5JJ...
The PJ is fatter on the neck pickup, and, overall, doesn't have as much skanky grindy mids as the JJ;
and,
the bridge pup feels skinnier, even though I've got the pup heights the same.

Pretty much how I felt about the other Sadowsky PJ's I've had.
Friday will tell more, I'll take them both to work, and see what happens.
