I've seen a nice metro pj4 in sonic blue on sale for $1999 recently.
I recently picked up a 4-string Metro Hybrid PJ and really like it even though I'm normally a 5-string guy. What kind of neck profile do the PJ5's have, in particular the Metros? I assume you can get a jazz profile neck on a custom PJ5 but wasn't sure about Metros, or what the standard neck is like on custom models. Maybe I'm just not looking in the right place on the website.
All metro 5's are 1 and 7/8ths inch at the nut. There is a Will Lee metro 5 that is coming soon with a 1.75 nut. All NYCs are available either way.
Thanks for the reply - I know the nut widths are the same, didn't really make myself clear. What I'm wondering about is more the feel and thickness/profile of the neck rather than just the nut. I've had multiple Sadowskys before but can't remember if the neck on the PJ5 was the same as the jazz version.
They are all supposed to be similar in shape and profile. Of course, no two are the same. They are still sanded, finished, trued, and fretted one at a time.

I just sent Kevin the specs for my next order. It's gonna be my first ash/maple Sadowsky (all the others were ash/braz (or amazon) with the exception of the purple sparkle mahogany/ebony 24F5).

The goal here was to have a clear separation vs my current Vintage model.
The 24-fret I had before was still a "vintage" style and had a maple board. I really want my 24 fret to be a much more "modern" J style bass by comparison, so that's why I went with the Standard style (inline knobs, no guard/plate), and the ebony board. Also kinda' helps the figured top make sense since very little is covering it.
That said, I definitely don't mind the vintage style with figured tops, despite the coverage, but I just wanted to go a bit further.
