All metro 5's are 1 and 7/8ths inch at the nut. There is a Will Lee metro 5 that is coming soon with a 1.75 nut. All NYCs are available either way.
They are all supposed to be similar in shape and profile. Of course, no two are the same. They are still sanded, finished, trued, and fretted one at a time.
