Thanks! The Sadowsky really records well in the studio...the mixing and mastering engineers both commented on how easy it was to mix the bass on our tracks.

I went into the studio last week with three basses, not sure which would work best for the songs I was recording. Those basses were a Sadowsky Jazz (ash/rosewood), a Lull M5V (ash/maple) equipped with a Sadowsky preamp and an MTD 535 (alder/rosewood). I love all these basses and it was really a matter of what would work best for these particular songs. The dominant bass ended up being the Sadowsky (with dead ss Blue Labels). It was warm, punchy, and clearly defined. Perfect. The Lull I used for the slap passages in one track (with the preamp bypassed) and the MTD worked perfectly for the chordal sections on two of the songs.

I saw the bass used on the SADOWSKY web site and the price was right. Since the finish was the wood, I figured get a Candy Apple Orange finish and matching headstock too. Could not be happier !!!

20 years? Was Sadowsky making PJ5's in 1994? Also, that white one is sporting a neck with the new decal and retainer while the blue one looks much older because of the bridge. New neck and old body on the white one or mistaken about the age? Or, as always, carrots?
