Hi Roger,

Welcome back to the USA! I hope you enjoyed your Holiday.

I have three questions:
1. I recall reading in German that the new Master Built Sadowsky basses will have tone chambers. Is this referring to your current chambered design or are they going to have wider chambers?
2. Has the "emerald ash borer" impacted your ash supplies?
3. Will the new German made Sadowskys be made from German or American ash?

First, I want to say congrats on the expansion with Warwick to Roger! I’m sure every bass wearing a Sadowsky badge will continue to have impeccable craftsmanship.

My question is what will the service/repair arrangement be following the Warwick deal. Will past NYC (including last Satins) be repaired by the New York shop or have to be sent to Warwick.

Just picked up a master grade koa top, mahogany body, Brazilian rosewood J bass from Gruhn’s in Nashville. The collection they have right now on consignment is AMAZING! Every bass I played was practically brand new, I mean mint!!!! The Bora Blue Will Lee was a close second. No affiliation with seller or Gruhn by the way. Hope I didn’t violate any TB rules...just wanted to pass along some opportunities to the group.

The hardest part of course was prying it out of my hands in order to ship it home! Maybe even tougher than the wait for a bass to be built imho. But alas, the difference in shipping cost won out over the state’s 9.5% sales tax.

Verdine 5 + flats - So much freaking muscle in just the right place. It sounded SO good at my reggae gig tonight. Of course I heard the "hey man, that's a killer f**der" comment and had to correct the guy - "no sir, it's a killer Sadowsky "... The blank look was priceless.

After a few days of being sick and A/B'ing all of my gear lol, I've decided the flats on the Modern experiment is done for now - rounds just fit that bass so much better. The Verdine/blue label flats combo just nails the thickness. If you own one and haven't tried them, you should at least once...

Does anybody know it the 125 B string in the Sadowsky sets are tapered? I know the 130s are.

I believe all B strings in the Sadowsky 5 string sets are tapered.

The Verdine/blue label flats combo just nails the thickness. If you own one and haven't tried them, you should at least once...

The blue label flats on my Verdine 5 are great as are TI Flats.

Thanks for the recommendation. Was just pondering this. Mine is a TYO Verdine 4 wearing nylon tapes. Super playable with low action, yet the bass boost is nearly dimed to get any tone. Action is so low that TIs would rattle (got a set or two lying around). So I will be ordering some Blue Label flats posthaste. Thanks guys.

Those Deluxe Verdine's are so beautiful. If I end up selling my Satin J5 w/SC's, a blue Deluxe Verdine 5 is next on my list. Those blue ones just do it for me visually.

I get the whole people trying to capitalize on the “Pre Warwick” thing, but how does that effect any NYC bass, and how does that effect any Sadowsky made before the Warwick roll out at 2020 NAMM.

I'm pretty sure C# is going to stay the same on the new models. E# may give some trouble though, watch out for this guy.
