The hottest Sadowsky I ever had was an early Japanese MV5. You could barely get past 25%. My newer NYC appears to have less juice.that is one my main complaints on the new german preamps, the EQs need to be toned down
I have owned 8 Sadowskys, the German EQs are a bit over the topThe hottest Sadowsky I ever had was an early Japanese MV5. You could barely get past 25%. My newer NYC appears to have less juice.
Ah, yes!Fbass
Also wondering this! Thanks to those who may chime in.Question for the group - I have a Metro/Japan J/J 5 with humcanceling PUs, and would like to replace with single coils. Is there anywhere I can buy a new set of Roger's SC pickups that he uses for the NYC models? Everything I see online looks like the new German ones that I think are made for the narrower 18mm spacing.
Looks like there aren't any PUs on the "online store" part of the Sadowsky site.
I can always troll TB classifieds and Reverb, but wondering if there's a faster way.

Now all we need to do is get that VTC on there and it’ll be perfect. The new Metro Express with new Sadowsky Logo, no RSD, and new pickups. No I haven’t played one yet. I know there’s two being played on Broadway n Nashville.
I think the “made in china” on the back of the headstock will avoid any confusion.I'm sure I'm in the minority but I wish the ME's would've kept the other logo so it would be even more differentiated from the NYC's and MIG's.

Maybe, and the less than great quality is another differentiating factor. Again, I'm sure I'm in the minority and don't want to insult any of the current ME owners but I just don't feel those instruments are worthy of the Sadowsky name. That's just my opinion and I know plenty will disagree.
I think Roger would disagree, it was his decision to produce the ME with the Sadowsky- Logo
