Club Sadowsky!!!

does anybody have a link in which the pics of Sadowsky basses are kept? I am looking to get one in the next couple of days from a trade and the other party has no camera. I have seen those pics that Sadowsky takes when a bass is made and i would like to see the ones for this bass. Could somebody get me the link via PM so I can see the pics of this bass and see what it looked like when it was made?

thanks

I bought one this weekend and couldn't find it on there using the serial number either.. They do list some changes made after #4000 or so, but I'm going to call Sadowsky tomorrow and try and get more info.

I'm playing with an original rock band now and have found that all I really need is a 4-string bass. I could probably get by with a 2-string bass since there is a rhythm guitarist blasting through a Marshall:eek:. So I am thinking of either selling or trading my RV-5 for a Sadowsky 4.

I'd love to get an NYC JJ4, especially in Sherwood Green, but I'm so weird that I'd probably never take it out for fear of damage or theft. So I think that a Metro is my best option.

Or do you think that I should just hang with the RV-5 even though the B string is being used as a thumbrest.:D

Better to have it and not use it than need it and not have it.

I already have a (THE) Sadowsky NYC JJ5 which will be buried with me. So I was thinking that if I swapped the RV5 for an RV4 I would have both ends covered.

But KFS you are a wise man beyond your years. I just need to be happy with what I have. And needless to say the RV5 is a very, very nice bass.

Thank you for the suggestion, MindlessInside, but I would be more prone to using the B for one of those B-bombs when the opportunity presents itself;). And the fact that that Marshall seems to cover the frequencies that the C string would be in.

I'd swap it out for the 4. My MS4 is perfect, every note responds exactly the way I want it to. And there is something that feels so right about playing a 4 string, even though I've been playing mostly 5s for 10 years.
