Here's my NYC Std4 in transparent white which is much less transparent than the usual. You need to look closely to see the wood grain under the finish. My guess is that because this bass is chambered ash on ash they used more color to hide the glue line around the body.

Looking at those basses is like being on the water on a dead calm, foggy morning...deep, mystic, serene, eerie....and absolutely freaking BEAUTIFUL. Nice nice nice...
I was joking of course, it's an incredible board. The sound is snappy yet warm enough for me not missing rosewood.
That's how I received it. Since then I've added the pickguard with double sided tape and the pickups on it now are NJ4's. All mods are reverse-able. I also have the original knobs.

LO VE LY!!! Roger is a genius.... the Picasso of basses...i really don't know if i love Sadowsky basses more for their beauty or their sound.
I'd like to see if any of us has a transparent black to see if it is so beautiful as the transparent white ...

I had a trans black that was absolutely stunning. Chrome hardware and pickup cover -- it was a beauty!
I am in the other camp and prefer the whiter white of the M24. Very nice looking basses!

maybe it's yellowed with age .... ask Roger ... anyway I love them as sons, in the same way.
