Club Sandberg (part 2)

@nrssab - well then I'd go with #100 :) btw I'm letting go a couple of basses in the next time, it's just too much for me. The Bullet is on the list. If you're interested - let me know!
@kabsbrey - Henrik from sandberg wrote that your bass looks like one of the very first California Basses, even before the series was called "California". So congrats - that's a rare bass! If you ever find the serial number let me know, then they can find out when it was made exactly.
@Scott - great VT! I was GASing for one several times but for any reason I always ended up with new TT4 :) anyway, good choice!

Soo cool that Pickup test Bass! Thanks for sharing. The next time I want to know how a certain Pickup sounds like I'll ask you. :)

Thanks for letting me know about The Bullet, right now I'm again tight, but perhaps next year. Would you ask more or less than the new price for it? :P

Regards.

Of course! Very nice VT you own there. Not many California VTs around.

Thanks! Yes, the VT is kinda rare among the Sandberg Calif. players.. Most of them prefer the VM, TM or the TT.

But i fell in love with this black beauty and the combination of both pickups delivers a great tone (and somehow i like the look of the singlecoil more than the look of the humbucker..)

But one day i'll also get me a Sandberg Cali. TT HC Masterpiece, that's for sure.. :p

Nice one!

For myself, I have sold my TM5 supreme, and have today ordered a new beauty from Sandberg. Will post pic when I get it. Here is a teaser from Sandberg's new configurator (test it if you haven't! It's on Invalid Link Removed)

Beautiful! Can't wait to see the real thing! :)

Did you have to sell the TM5 to finance the VS5 or were you unhappy with the TM?

I've been all over the bass (without removing the neck) looking for the serial no. but it doesn't look as if it has one .
I can believe that it's a very early one though as it doesn't mention California on the headstock.

I don't own a Sandberg but I have one on order. I have been reading different forums about them and some people don't like their bridges because the hard to adjust. Anyone have any similar experience?

The intonation is a bit of a pain to adjust because you have to slacken the strings before you can move the saddles forwards and backwards. Other than that, it's a solid bridge. :)
