I contacted the store where I bought my Sandberg and they’ve had contact with Sandberg. One of the salesman there ordered 4 new tuners!
I’m happy…..but o my…., what an expensive ordeal….pfffff

Congrats! I really like that color. You don't see too many TM2s around. Let us know how it works out for you after you've had some time with it.
I did. I put a Darkglass Tone Capsule with a bass and two mids. I'm much happier with the tonal capabilities now, even I play 95% of the time in passive mode.
Nice! How are you finding it compared to your other basses? Are they Black Label pickups?

The fit and finish is right there with my best basses (Dingwall Customs, Fender Custom Shop). It is super tonally versatile and plays fantastic. The pickups have no markings on the covers that I see, so I'm not sure how to tell if they are black label?
I installed a LHZ (Spector clone) pre into my passive California 30" Lionel along with a EMG X P pickup. There was not much room in the Lionel cavity but I managed to fit the pre and a battery. Not sure if the cavity on the 34" California has a different size control cavity.
Wow! Not a lot of room but that is clean and tidy. Nice work. Curious about how things sound with the Haz pre and the EMG X pickup.
Based on what I can tell about what Sandberg uses, the lack of any pickup markings/designations indicates that those are Black Labels. Otherwise they would have Delano or the patented 4 dot symbol on the pickups.
Great to hear, Sandbergs are generally beautifully put together. The PLEKd frets also really help with achieving the fantastic playability. I absolutely love my TM4!
Thank you, I love the sound of the HAZ clone pre with the EMG X pickup. Sound is huge and I can get that Spector grit out of it if I dime the Bass & treble. it does not sound like a short scale at all. I have the same combo in another short scale Bass also with the same results.

Took it to practice last night. The bass even exceeded my expectations from playing it at home. As I said, the bass plays like a dream. In the band setting, the TM2 electronics were fantastic. This particular band is pretty eclectic to say the least. Besides some originals, we play a pretty wide range of covers (last night's songs included The Meters, Steely Dan, Led Zeppelin, Peter Gabriel, The Who, Billy Cobham, and the Delvin Lamar Organ Trio). The dual humbuckers were amazing, so punchy and tight. However, I went to the single coil mode for a few tunes like the Beatles and Zeppelin (rolling a little treble off). For Sledgehammer, I rolled the balance to about 75% bridge and boosted some bass and treble to get closer to that Stingray tone. It really covered all the bases (or basses). I can clearly say this is gonna be my #1 bass with this band just because it does it all so easily.
I have been using Slinkys for years on my 5-string Ken Taylor, love them. Neither too bright nor too harsh on the fingers.
