Do you guys ask for updates? I dont want to be a pest haha but it has been quiet lately which hopefully means he is working hard on our builds
I like to touch base every few months or so by email - always been good at responding - just a quick check in doesn't hurt!

I have worked with many Luthiers in a buisiness level and one way or the other answering updates take away thei time they can focus on building. Also with experience some start asking questions about the unfinished product, or have concerns or the look causing even more time to answer. Of course builders like Fodera, or F Bass that have a team working its easier to provide updates, but when it's an one man show doing everything like Geoff, Mattisson, it becomes quite challenging.
Geoff before was more communicative but also he was way less busy. This is just how luthier making business evolves, and if you are anxious for some type of update it will never hurt to ask.
When i ordered my Fodera there were some updates, but yeah i dont like being a pest i did reach out but havent heard back.

All in all it never hurts to ask, but personally i like to give them their time to focus on building, also i keep exercising my patience mental muscle
I did hear back progress is on track for June currently,
Its always a struggle with custom builds you don't want to rush anything as its better they take their time and do it right.
