Well, I logged into the unofficial TB chat and, I must say, while I enjoyed talking with some of the folks here in an unmoderated environment, I had the same problem I have with all chat rooms...

Someone asks a question -- Three other people answer somebody else's question -- Two other people pose new questions -- The answer I post to the original question shows up -- Three more people post on some other topic -- And so on, and so on, ad infinitum.

It got to be too much really quickly. Maybe I'm slow or multi-tasking challenged, but I find chat rooms really hard to follow, unless I focus intently and really concentrate on what's going on. So much so, that it often gives me a headache.

I don't have a similar problem in real life. I can do three things at once while answering people's questions with no problem. But, online, it can be really overwhelming.

Does anyone else have this problem? Or, problems with cognitive dissonance or sensory overload in other areas of their lives?

Please tell me it's not just me. (But, not all at the same time!)
