Cold Turkey

Yes hold out. I recently took A trip to NYC and visited the Sadowsky shop. I played every bass in stock through an amazing Sadowsky rig and bought a new modern 5 string right off the wall. I had a great time but I had to come home and sell a ton of gear to pay for my new bass.

The more I think about it, holding out is my goal. As I said before, getting a Sadowsky is not something that is a great desire, although it would be fun to have one since they are so highly thought of around here. What would be much important is simply holding back and taking my time to get something that I know I will seriously enjoy. I have had enough good for the money basses, and now I want to get a bass that is good, period.

Realistically, that may not take big boutique money for me. For instance, a really nice Cirrus V or Pedulla Rapture V would serve my purposes just fine and come in way under a used Sadowsky. I just want to get one without having to sell or trade a bass I like, thereby creating a cycle of discontent.

That said, if January rolls around, and I haven't bought anything and I have $2,500+ in the kitty, lookout!:D
