Colorado Bassists - Yoooo

Hello all and a happy Saturday to you!

I'm new to the forums here and wanted to introduce myself.

I've been playing music since 2001. Started on guitar but switched over to bass halfway through college in 2007 (there were too many guitar players!). I'm glad I made the switch because it has been a rewarding experience!

I've been gigging for the past 3 years or so and things really started picking up for me this year! Set up in a jam band playing 3-4 shows a month and really enjoying it.

Currently I am playing a mid 90's G&L that I am borrowing. Looks like this but red

The amp I am using is the Line 6 Lowdown 300

I enjoy both pieces of equipment very much but I would like to get my own bass and I want to buy a rig as well. I have a lot of research to do!

When I was younger I bought a beautiful Yamaha TRB1005f which is the nicest instrument I have ever owned... I just cannot play it! Not well enough to gig :(

My main reason for creating an account here is to learn more about bass rigs and bass guitars. I would like to have solid "semi-pro" gear that I can trust. Informed opinions are always welcome.

If anyone knows of a way to convert my fretless to a fretted instrument, please let me know! From what I have found it may be in vein. Anyway, thanks for checking out my "hello" have an awesome day!

I have a no line fretless that I want to add fret markers to. I love the idea of no frets, no fret buzz and sliding into a note is way fun, but, really need the markers as I move out of tune much to often with just the side dots. Have banished it from public playing until ........

I'm going to use car striping decals and make my own fret markers ------ just have not gotten around to it yet.

Offered for what it's worth.
