My dad took over 200 pictures, so we are set. And yes, on my my Mac in the computer..

I cant stop raving to my pops and myself about that Fbass.. Im getting one, no matter what it takes.

IT was amazing meeting everyone, and playing everyones stuff. In all honesty, it was a career changing event for me.

I thank Matt Kirk, Nick, and the other Matt ;) for setting everything up. It was truly an honor.

So you liked the F bass the best eh? Cool. I liked the Sadowsky Will Lee the best.

OK, I made it home. Good times, great guys, awesome basses and rigs. I had fun playing through everyone's stuff. I especially enjoyed Pete's basses. That man has a recipe for necks I tell ya. There's just something about that neck profile that make my hands want to play notes that they usually don't like to play. Effortless playability, almost like it doesn't need you to get in the way of it playing by itself.

Rig wise, I must say that Nick's GK rig was awesome, as was Woody's Berg and MB combo. That Venture 600 was sweet too. Thanks for bringing that one out. Of course Tom's Walter Woods head through those Berg cabs sounded sweet too. It's hard to say which rig I liked the best.

I give MEker the "most metal" award for rocking out on his effects ridden rig with the pick in hand. I give that one guy with the beard, never got his name or maybe just don't remember it, props for having some nice fingerstyle chops. Pete can play too, and he's not supposed to be that good. he's a luthier and they have to be either good at building basses or playing basses. You can be both. It's against the rules.

Nick and Matt, thank you for making it all happen. I appreciate Matt for coming up with the idea and organizing this and Nick for providing the place and food for everything. Your wife deserves props too. Very good job guys, very good.

Overall I have more friends now and an even greater desire to get me a Skjold. I'm swimming in GAS here trying to figure out how many hours I would have to work over every week to get one of those babies. Looks like it's going to be a while before I can actually pay one off but I'm getting a fund together and sticking money away every paycheck. Maybe I can write it off on my taxes if I start gigging more.

Thanks again guys for a Saturday well spent. We'll have to make this an annual thing. Maybe next time it'll be even bigger and Tom can use that ship I posted a few pages back.

If this happens next year, or in 6 months or something, me and my pops are willing to make it closer to my home, so it can be a tri-state thing, being Pennsylvania and W. Virginia.

We could pull it off, but it would be a bit of a drive for some of you guys. Just an idea!

And I want to sincerely thank you all for everything. I felt very welcome, even with my age, and right at home. Plus, the compliments on my playing and matureness were awesome. IT feels great some times.

And I wish I got that bearded guys name! Me and him jammed for about 20 minutes, but I didnt get his name. I think his username is something like Warwick209 or something, IIRC.

Again, I thank you all for changing my outlook on my career and bass itself. All of you, even MEKer with his insane distortion and dual head setup! ;)

Well to be perfectly honest, I didn't play the F bass so I have no opinion on it. I did love the Sadowsky though. I love Jazz basses and I like more "traditional" style basses so the Sadowsky hit the nail on the head for my tastes. The F bass looked a lot like a traditional jazz though (on steriods) so I like that. I wish I had a chance to play it.

Glad you could come. It was great to meet you.

And Matt, I meant no harm in the Fbass comment, I was just saying the Fbass was perfect for me. Im hapy you enjoyed the Sadowsky. It seemed like you like it. Every picture we have of you, its in your hands! :D

And I want to apologize to anyone who took a comment of mine wrong, or for something I said I shouldnt have. Sometimes my teenage mind takes over and I can become inconsiderate. Again, I apologize.

I'll try to get some posted up... just need to rename most of them to something easier than p1020829985blahblahblah... Had a few that were pretty blurry due to the motion in the pic combined with half dead batt's in the camera, but still clear enough to tell what they are.

Had fun today. Hope everyone that tried out the Gibson had fun with it, it's my first and favorite of my 3 basses. Was a bit too nervous to play anyone else's basses, as I tend to be a bit of a clutz. It was great seeing everyone.

As for the bearded man, I believe his first name is Chad.

Also, I have to resize the pics and upload them to my website space (they're HUGE... like 3220xsomething resolution)

BTW, I'll echo that I like Nick's rig. It's amazing and sounds like the voice of God spoken through a giant crystal megaphone on a clear winter day when sound travels much better than a muggy summer day. It also melts faces similar to that one scene in Raider of the Lost Ark when the Nazi's open the Ark of the Covenant and that one dude that picked up that really hot medallion and burnt the design of the medallion in said hand looked straight at a ghost or angel or whatever it was and his face was all like "I'm melting" and crap and I was like "woah" and he was like "arrrrghhhhgh....blub blub (melted skin and such)" and I was like "that's gross" and "that doesn't look real at all, but I'm still gonna be sick" and then the US Government boxes up the Ark and stores it away and I'm all like "no way" and "that's a lot of boxes" and "how will anyone ever find it again" and "George Lucas should totally redo this movie like he did Star Wars and ad some realistic looking melting skin so I can reeeally get sick" and stuff. Yep, just like that.

BTW, drinking as much Code Red as I did today, then posting on online forums is not reccomended. Seriously.

Oh come now... seriously... I drink a 2 liter of that stuff per day, it's not THAT strong. Right now, I'm running on code red from before the gtg, a rip-it energy drink, 2 1/2 cans of code red that I drank at the gtg (first can kinda disappeared while i was helping load-in tombowlus' gear), and a cup of coffee at meker's house. :P
