COMBO AMP RECOMMENDATION

SO......I'm looking for a combo.

I sold my 2 cabs (EA VL-210 & Schroeder 1212L) & have a Glockenklang Soul head on the block.

I'm not gigging, just jam with some friends, so what I have/had was overkill....just looking for a combo that will get me in the same tonal territory, but smaller in stature.

I'd LOVE a Glock 2x10 combo, but they're pricey little beasts....maybe an EA combo ?????

Any recommendations are appreciated !!!!

Markbass CMD112 or Jeff Berlin. If you want to go really small, the mini-mark is an amazing little amp. The 112 or JB combo will allow you to expand and add a cab if/when you do start gigging again, although both of them will handle a medium sized gig on their own.

PUCKBOY...what are you doing here? This is Rich from MI (you bought the Komet clone from me).

As the previous reply said, go to GC and try the Markbass stuff. I recently picked up the CMD102 (2x10) combo and it is just perfect!! Lightweight, doesn;t take up much space and sounds KILLER! I've already rehearsed and gigged with it and it fits the bill in either of thos situations. It also has a great MV so I can play along with my iTunes while everyone is sleeping in the house. Can't say enough about this amp...it ranks up there as one of my best buys in either guitar or bass world!

That Komet was an amazing amp....but extremely LOUD !!!!!!!

I don't recall, but I think I bought the Glock head with the proceeds of the Komet

I dig the punchiness of 2x10s, so that MB might be right up my alley & I know the local GC carries a bunch of them (although I've never tried one).

.. Mesa Walkabout combo?

I currently use the walkabout head with an Aggie 112 cab and it suits me well for practice, jams, and even light gigs. at a LOUD 300W, the cab itself is light enough to haul from place to place.

I strongly recommend you look into this one! I think you can get the combo cab for around 850ish, which is not a bad deal considering what you're getting. There really aren't much I can complain about.

I was looking at the SWR Redhead & saw it had a rack space or 2.........anyone make a 2x10 with say, a 4-space rack above it to stick a power amp/preamp/power conditioner/etc etc ??????

That's one thing holding me back on the Suitcase... but I'll probably still get one. I'm curious, where do you use it? Do you have the extension cab? I'm trying to get a sense of how big a space one can fill, and with what type of music.

+1 for the Walkabout Scout. As most of us do, amps kinda come and go, but this one is a keeper. Great tone, fairly small package, not much to dislike.

Yeah... and did you see how big these things are? Not much over a foot cubed! Ridiculous. I hear great things, but many have not even heard of these things... until now... crap. I better hurry up before they skyrocket like the Schroeders.

SO..........I sent Jorg Schroeder (and a few other cab builders) an e-mail telling him what amp head I have & wonderring if they could hook me up with a combo cab that would house the head ala a built in rack/combo package.

Schroeder will be coming thru with his 1210L cab that will house my Glockenklang Soul head !

Might be 1 hell of a combo !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
