Combo amp that packs a punch?

To be honest I hadn't really considered the budget as I'm a bit of a noob when it comes to amp prices, but I would guess at under £400. I mostly play funk rock. I live in England. Again, I don't know specifics when it comes to weight, but I'd just say light enough for 1 guy of average strength to carry up and down a venue staircase? No specific features, just plug in, adjust the EQ slightly and go. (Sorry for being vague)

I like the New Peavey's I am using a Peavey Max 112 200 watts for club gigs and it has a great price point at under 300.00 US 5 member Classic Rock band 2 guitars, Keys, Drums and me total weight 42 lbs

Do yourself a big favor and audition Fender's new version 3 Rumbles. Powerful; lightweight, and reliable D-Class tone monsters. Thomann is listing the Rumble 200 combo at 370 pounds and 15 pence. Invalid Link Removed
If you can stretch a bit the Rumble 500 combo is 443 pounds and 36 pence. Check out all the rave reviews at the Fender Rumble Club right here on TalkBass.

Another vote for the new Fender Rumble.

For the difference in the cost, I would definitely go with the Rumble 500.

Keep in mind the 200 is 1x15 rated at 140w as a stand-alone combo while the 500 is 2x10 with 350w. I personally like the 2x10 for the punchier tone, which is what you're after.
