Double Bass Combo question

Hello all,

I've grown tired of lugging around my ampeg svt4 and 4x10 cab, so I was wondering what people recommend as far as combo amps.

I play a Englehardt with a K&K Double Big Twin pickup and Pure Preamp.

I mostly play what I would call folk-punk. Imagine Johnny Cash meets The Ramones meets some bluegrass. We're a 9 piece band, but we're not insanely loud. I'd think 100 to 150 watts would suffice.

Thanks in advance.

I play in an alt-country band and also use the SVT4/410 cab set-up. I'm looking at the Acoustic Image Ten2 (see my thread a little further down). I'm waiting on a new pickup to come in and then I'm going to go to Bass Northwest here in Seattle and see about testing one out. So far only a gent named Patrick has responded but he seems very positive about his experience with that amp.

I have used the GK MB115 a few times with a big band with good results. I was looking for something just a little bigger then a single 12 cab..I did find that it is a tad larger size-wise then I anticipated...however ,nothing like what you are carrying now .

I use it a lot on electric bass ..with and with out PA support and it has been working out great. And have received compliments on the sound. Not very expensive either.
good luck
