Combo to cab conversion. Do I really need 2 inputs?

I have an old Yorkville Bloc 100K keyboard combo that is fried so I removed the amp and wanted to use the box as a practice cab. I was reading online and see that every cab DIY project mentions having 2 inputs (1 for "flow through"). Is that really necessary? I know every single cab I owned always had 2 inputs but I never really got the point of that...

The cab will only have a single 8 ohms 15" speaker (no more tweeter) so I figured just hooking up the 2 wires to a 1/4" input would do the trick. I just want to double check that this would be an issue...wouldn't want to screw up my amp.

not necessary unless you want to daisy chain two cabs out of one speaker out. i must admit, the daisy chaining thing can make life easier in some cases, but it's not necessary.

I don't think i`ll ever need to add another cab to this so 1 input would be fine. The speaker is only rated at 150W I think so it will only ever be used at home for practicing so I don't have to lug my 4x10 from rehearsal to home everytime. Plus, its free
