I saw this on his Instagram yesterday and was absolutely in love. Pat has one of my basses right now and seeing stuff like this just makes me more impatient. How long was your turnaround if you don't mind me asking?

What I will say is that the finish looks done well.Yea it's polarizing, for sure! I have other "regular" basses that no one would blink at for when I need to just blend in/fade into the background... this one is simply because I want something bright and crazy, haha!
This all started because I wanted to finally get a Mark Hoppus, but it's crazy how much those things go for these days. All-in, I'll have spent almost the same as a really nice Hoppus, but I like the way this is turning out so much more!
I'm envisioning the headstock painted to match - pink on the sides and all.....
That looks great! I might be biased as I've been diagnosed with a flake fetish. Can't wait to see it together!
Is the turn around time reasonable? I've only used Marty Bell for flake stuff and he's retiring so I'm curious for future projects. Dang it that looks nice.

I am loving the "Miami Vice" body.
And I am with you on having a "regular" bass and a "flashy" bass. I didn't plan on that, but one of my LTDs is a "natural beauty" with a fairly standard shape but my other LTD is a more metal shaped one in a dark magenta. I love both.
I feel like with livestreaming performances (sometimes from rehearsal rooms in lieu of venues) becoming more popular and people watching on smaller screened devices, the more "flashy" basses will show up well and pop on camera. You need good lighting for videos, and that finish will look great in any lighting. I'm imagining what it might look like with different ring-light filters...
And even in a traditional live venue, that finish will look amazing under stage lights.

On a serious note, beautiful workmanship there and I like micguy's idea of a matching headstock, though it will look great no matter what. Especially with the white Dimarzio. I'll look forward to seeing it finished and pray you love it when done.
