Completely bogus live performances

I can't see it affecting our scene in the short term.
Solo's and Duo's are a poor mans musical evening.
But fortunately Bands are still the draw.
On a recent trip abroad, I saw a mega pub/bar have a duo in the corner and that act immediately relegated themselves to a wall paper act.
They chalked up the money but totally soul destroying imv.

The problem I have with a band using any backing tracks is that I'm going to be wondering whether the guitar, bass or vocals are being mimed and watching for proof. It ruins my night but I can't help it.

If you want to play a song and don't have the right instruments or musicians to play that song as it was recorded, work up your own version that you can do and make it your own.

Raiders always could sing, play, and do steps live. Amazing!
Seen them do it for decades at county fairs
Certainly not something I could do at their high level all at once!
Rest in Peace Paul Revere.
