Compression Pedal

Hello everyone,

I'm looking for a compression pedal that does the job decently, but I'm on a very tight budget (has to be less then £100). I have been toying with the Boss, but since I'm not very experienced I was wondering of you can recommend this or another specific unit?

I've been using the Boss CS -3 for about a year now with good results. I set the sustain on 9'oclock and the attack at noon. Tone and gain to taste...subtle compression at that setting- but I like an overall smoothness, not a lot of squish.

Never cared for the Boss myself. Always found it noisy. I think for inexpensive, subtle yet decent quality there's no better choice than the BBE Opto Stomp.

I use a Boss CS-3 that I modded with the mods on the Ovnilab page and it's pretty killer now.
