Compressor.

I have not been a fan of compressors till I got an Aphex Punch Factory this week. What I like about it is that it does not squash the sound. I read on a review on Harmony Central that this compressor is the one to get if you don't want the audience to know your using one.
Thou I haven't used it extensively, it seems to smooth out the sound of my bass and does not seem to color it.
The last point is that I bought it in the Talkbass classifieds for $55.00. :hyper:

I got one this week too :) When playing through it yesterday I honestly couldn't tell whether it was on or off, it is just so transparent but I finally found a way to tell if it was doing it's job - ie playing a single note progressively louder using my pick attack, with it on, it kept the note at the same volume which is exactly what I will be using it for. It will come in useful for when I am playing at band rehersal volume.
