Confused on xtended cab - looking for suggestions

I'm waiting for my svt 4 pro to arrive any day now, and I want to pick up a 210 cab to pair with my 4 ohm ps410. I don't need another 410. Any suggestions? 4 or 8 ohms? My understanding is the 4 pro can handle 2 ohm loads but I'm not tech savvy whatsoever.

In order for each of the 6 speakers to be receiving the same power from the head, the 210 should be an 8 ohm cabinet, if paired with a 4 ohm 410 cab. This will provide a total load of 2.67 ohms, which the SVT 4 Pro can handle AFAIK.

Mahalo, GB. I've heard that as well but wanted to defer to the experts on here.

Sigh, the neverending search for the "sound" continues. Next gig in about a week and time is running out.

Good luck! And for what it's worth, I think the 4 ohm 410 and the 8 ohm 210 is about as versatile a setup as you could hope for -- very modular, and makes it pretty easy to take just enough firepower for just about any venue.

Now THAT's what I was looking for!:hyper:

Not much pickings locally in Hawaii. Saw some Eden XLT's and some other old stuff.

Anyone have any brand recommendations for a 2x10?

Thanks again GB!

If you like the PS410, your best bet is with the PS210 -- as far as possible, keep the drivers the same to avoid potential phasing issues. This is especially the case if pickings are slim where you are, as there may be few opportunities to try much out in combination with your (soon to be) current rig. Mix-and-matching can work really well, but it's unpredictable, and you can be sure of getting a good match with the same drivers, same basic box design, etc.
