Connecting 4x10 to Combo Amp?

depends on what combo it is and whether it has a second speaker out jack. but the way you describe it sounds like it probably can't.

What Jimmy said.

Also, Its my experience that most combo's can drive an external cab. Just be aware-some of them require you to disconnect the internal speaker-which to me kinda defeats the purpose.

I dont think it defeats the purpose, I have a 2x10 combo (8 ohm) that you can put a 8 ohm extension cab on, to make 4 ohm. at anyrate. it pushes 180 watts at 8 ohm I blew out the 2x10's in the combo so I hooked a 8 ohm 4x10 and it's wayyyyyyyy louder (just disconnected the 2x10 combo speakers) i agree it's pointless to disconnect say a 15speaker and hook up a 15 cab but if you disconnect a 15 and add a 4x10 or 6x10 there will be a difference

There is one jack on the back that says "line Out", i wanted to put an 8 ohm 410 there. I do not believe that this would bypass the internal speaker, but i'm not sure. If anyone has done this (without damaging the amp head), pls let me know, thx.

"Line Out" is a line level signal meant for sending to a mixer, or to another amp. It is NOT amplified, and will not drive a speaker cabinet without at least a power amp.

If you have a single connection at the back of the amp, and it says "line out",that rather suggests that you don't even have access to the speaker out... is that correct?

If that's the case, then it's a good guess that you're combo just isn't wired to do this. What exact combo amp are we talking about
