Maybe I'm crazy (probably), but I think I just fell in love with a Godin A4
I walked into a local Mills Music today and they had one there. It's been there for years (they don't seem to get much business), and I remember not really liking it when I played it before. But today I picked it up again, since I'm much more into hollowbody basses now, and it was downright awesome. It played well, sounded really thick and well defined (fretless, with flatwounds), and had a really sweet tone. The acoustic tone and volume really surprised me too. I didn't even plug it in.
It was $750, but they've got a rent to own program where you pay $49 a month. It's really tempting me...
