I don't see the difference between the StewMac template, and the route in the picture. You just won't have the box for the battery, but that's just an added touch on some basses, and isn't needed.

Dremy, that can be done, by making a template in 3 pieces.
1 for the pocket route, 1 for the lip and one to fit inside the "Pocket route" template.
Sort of like this:
What I did on this one is made a template of the overall hole, then made an insert, that fit inside of that. I only needed to make this one in two templates though.
