I discovered this item several years ago when my wife was doubling on hand percussions while singing for a band. I wound up buying one for my music stand for convenient access to a tuner and other accessories. It seems like a great place to keep your preamp without having to reach behind you to tweak your amp’s EQ or, more importantly, volume knob for down time or in between sets.
