Converting an Avatar SB112 to an SB126

Looking for details from someone that has converted an Avatar SB112 to an SB126. I have 2 and like them, but am not in love with the tweeters. I like a more old school tone and think the tweeters give the SB112 a harsh sound. I typically play with them really low, but not off because something more than just the 12 is needed.

Not sure which 6" sealed mid to use. Not sure if (and how) the crossover in the SB112 would work with a sealed 6" mid. A parts list would be appreciated! Thanks.

You will have to cut a precision hole to accept the Eminence Alpha-6CBMRA sealed back driver.
If you can find an 800 Hz or higher crossover, this would be ideal.
Eminence is no longer stocking them on their page, but they are still showing in stock at Parts-Express. $4 savings if you buy from Speakerhardware.com

Crossing at 800 Hz or higher protects the 6" driver.
There is an additional benefit of the Delta 12LF still being omni directional (not beaming) at 800 Hz.
This lets the full sound of your cab be heard across a wider audience position.

Looked on the Avatar site and couldn't find it. Is this a case of needing to call Dave for a special order?
