Converting LM11 to 240v

It seems to me that markbass designs their products to only work with certain voltages in each market. Repairs also seem to be expensive. the effect of this is that MarkBass retains pricing control more effectively because people from one region cannot use a model from another region.
you may want to consider another brand of amp with a more general use power supply.

That way, you wouldn't have to modify it!
I used to have a bass amp made in Russia that ran off 240v, and had the same thing actually installed inside the cabinet, so you couldn't even see it!

He would need a step down transformer. Just nitpicking!
OP, the cost could be small if the unit has an "international" transformer. You'd just need to change some wiring. If the unit has a 120V only primary you'll either have to use a step down transformer similar to the one specified or change out the power transformer. Doing the latter would be very expensive. going with the step down transformer will add weight, cost and be an extra piece that you have to remember to bring
Either way I feel that this whole idea is a poor one. You'll have to pay shipping and for the conversion. Are you prices that far above the US?

They are more than US but this is a purchase within australia. Obviously cheaper. I'm not to keen on lugging a converter around. How do i know if it has a ****ing "international" transformer? I agree the idea is crap. Back to the drawing board.
