Converting to Fretless

Discussion in 'Luthier's Corner' started by Kwesi, Aug 30, 2008.

  1. I've been toying with the idea of converting my Spector ReBop to fretless. Who could i send it to? East coast preferred as i live in Maryland. How much would it cost to have the frets removed, and the neck cleaned and epoxied? I posted this in the repairs forum but i think that here might get a better response. Thanks.

i'll say it before someone else does: it would be WAY cheaper (and faster) to do it yourself
  3. Is there some sort of guide or something, lol. The most i've ever done with my basses is tinker with their electronics. I don't know the first thing about the actual structure of one, at least enough to make one fretles and epoxy it.
