Talk about poor career decisions...Rutsey didn't think the band would amount to anything and decided he'd be better off teaching drums. Of course, he wasn't the lyricist that Neil Peart was, nor was he anywhere near as good of a drummer. So, maybe good for Rutsey and definitely good for Rush. Neil joined during the summer of '74 for Fly By Night. I saw them over New Year's '74-'75 at B'ginnings in Scumburg (OK, Schaumburg), IL. Great show. Speaking of Toronto. An early punk/new wave girl group from that area.
