I listened to the "Saved" album with a pretty open mind. Bob sounds good to me.

He has a few notes that he hits that make him Bob Dylan. I think he's a genius for leaving stuff in that would just be edited out in todays world.

The Bass work on this album is friggin' Killer. It's worth it to me now because I am jamming along to this stuff.

I am looking at this thread as a gift now because I was playing a lot of the same old stuff over and over again. I am glad to learn some new songs.

Check out the Bass work in this with an open mind please and you'll see what I mean. Or maybe you won't but I always surprise myself when I try new music.

Tons of musical competence. Great b/g singers. Even Dylan is in good voice. Solid bassline, once it comes in at 1:40. If I listen to the vocals as instruments, I quite like the song. I just don't go to concerts to be saved. I got all of that I could take from my male biological parent. So, yeah, I admit to having a bias. Something I just have to live with. I actually felt sorry for the band with all of the walk-outs. They were all highly skilled musicians performing at a high level.

My dad misplaced the flyer he grabbed at his first rock concert when he was 13 in 1957, and would describe it to us kids growing up hoping we might spot it in some forgotten corner of the house. Well 60 years later he found it safely tucked in a yearbook looking as new as it was when Chuck Berry came to town playing his first hit. I had to take this pic because he was so happy.
