Another great Louis Cole production. I really like how much love (screen time) the bassist gets. Great bassline!

It left the factory as a right-hand guitar. I wonder if (and who) replaced the bridge or re-slotted it for left-hand setup?

I had that Ovation mandolin…pretty ordinary sound. I upgraded to a proper acoustic Weber.

I bought the album and hated it. Not Dylanesque at all. He took himself way too seriously. And the tour for it wasn't any better. He didn't play any of his old songs. Well, at least during the part of the show I stayed around for. Peeps were leaving all through it, me included. It was even worse than the Santana concert in Madison, WI in the mid '70s, when he went through that stage. He stopped playing mid-song once and told the audience to be quiet. Be quiet? One dude yelled out as loudly as he could, "This is a rock concert!" He got the biggest ovation of the night.

My phone tells me that 7 years ago today, I met Mike Watt after seeing him perform with the Missingmen at Lincoln Hall in Chicago; also playing were the Meat Puppets and Greg Norton (formerly of Husker Du) with his band at the time. Watt's not small, I'm just tall and too close to the camera.

I listened to the "Saved" album with a pretty open mind. Bob sounds good to me.
He has a few notes that he hits that make him Bob Dylan. I think he's a genius for leaving stuff in that would just be edited out in todays world.
The Bass work on this album is friggin' Killer. It's worth it to me now because I am jamming along to this stuff.
I am looking at this thread as a gift now because I was playing a lot of the same old stuff over and over again. I am glad to learn some new songs.
Check out the Bass work in this with an open mind please and you'll see what I mean. Or maybe you won't but I always surprise myself when I try new music.

I was responding to the Santana concert reference only. Bob doesn't even talk to the audience. Right? I dunno. Next time I'll be more explanatory.
But the get down on the concert goer sounds like something Carlos might do. Sure, we don't know what "noise" ticked him off, but isn't he a bit touchy about these things anyway?
