Not uncommon for the day. For the ill-fated Rolling Stones 1969 American tour, EVERYONE in the band played through Ampeg SVTs, guitars and bass. Seems like the only difference between a guitar amp and a bass amp was whether it had reverb or not.

I remember this concert back in '80 or '81.
Def Leppard was opening for Blackfoot. The Memorial was renowned for its bad acoustics. However, the sound man this night was a sorcerer. He kept the boomer demons at bay and both bands sounded great.
