Cool rock n roll photos

That looks like one of my old rehearsal spaces.
It reminds me of the "band house" for Eddie's Lounge up in Marysville, Ca. Both club and "house" were owned by a guy named Ahmad or Ahmet. Can't remember which because it was over 40 years. It was one of his "perks" to get out of town bands up there for multiple nights to save HIM money and pay the bands less. First time we played there we stopped by the "house" for a look see just before we set up at the gig.

It was about as disgusting as you could imagine. Very similar the Dregs photo only this was pretty much the entire place looking like it. He never cleaned between group stays. Reminded me of a junkie den. Yeah, we found a few needles too. We passed on it and got motel rooms instead and sucked up the low ball price he paid us THIS TIME for the current gig. Future dates were re-negotiated to include the cost of motel stays.

Tell me about his guitar, and the pickup. Floating on a rod (or rods) attached to the bridge?

I'll have to defer to real guitar players on that. But I remember as a teenager, I had a Harmony Spanish guitar. Totally acoustic, but I added an aftermarket pickup so I could play with others using electric guitars and drums.

Muddy looks pretty young in that pic. Probably didn't have a lot of add-on pickup options. But I admit to my own ignorance on the topic.
