John Weider (21 April 1947 – March 2025) was an English rock musician who played guitar, bass guitar and violin. He is best remembered as the guitarist for The Animals from 1966 to 1968. He was also the bass player for Family from 1969 to 1971.

William James Graham Muir, also known as JamieMuir, was a Scottish painter and musician, best known for his work as the percussionist in King Crimson from 1972 to 1973, appearing prominently on their fifth album Larks' Tongues in Aspic. He died in 2025.
The Beatles were perceived as a threat to Frank just as Elvis was seen as a threat before them. Famously he said "Something" was his "favorite Lennon/McCartney song" but that was likely a joke to the audience and not Frank's ignorance as it has been portrayed whenever this chestnut rolls around...

While I wouldn’t call him an influence or hero, before I heard Cream, Canned Heat, Vanilla Fudge, or The Who, he demonstrated(to me)what more could be done with bass than the usual lines(as I was figuring out what it was all about)on those ‘67 singles. Especially on “Monterey”, where he was almost soloing against the sitar on the break, plus all that other riffing. And…the first fuzz bass I think ever heard, on this ode to lysergic enlightenment…
