I'm sorry, but I think it's too far a stretch to include a recreation of the Quintette of the Hot Club of France in "rock and roll". I love me some Django, but I'm afraid it's not RNR.

Gary Thain, the New Zealand-born bass player for Uriah Heep, looking rather unhappy.
Why not? HCF was rock'n'roll for their time and place, and Django, in many ways, invented shredding.
