Hey guys, I've been using my Cort RB5 lately and have become dissatisfied with the sound I am getting.
From my searching I have found that the pre is what is really lacking and 'should' be upgraded ahead of the pickups, but the thing is all my my EQ comes from my head (Eden wt-550 into a 410XLT). I think it is a MK1 pre on this bass.
If I keep everything flat on the current pre (apart from pickup balance) is there really any point in upgrading it?
Should I just throw in some US Barts, which seems to be superior to the MK1's?
