Cort T35 vs Squire Modified Vintage Jazz Bass

I have been wanting to get a bass and these 2 seems to fall within my budget. the squire has many good reviews but i can't seem to find a proper review on cort T35.

any feedbacks for comparison between these 2 basses?

My VM jazz. I love it! This thing is built solid, the duncan pups are lovely and hot with great tone and it feels superb. Cant get better for the price IMO. I haven't played the Cort so i cant comment on it but i definitely recommend the Squier!

i'd love to hear some feedback from T35 users as well. many cort guitars and basses built are worth the money.
though nevertheless squire is still looking very sweet, especially with the duncan pups.

I have the same bass,,but my Duncan pups sounded blah! So I changed them out with another set of Duncan Designed pups and the difference is night and day. I like this bass as much as my Classic Vibe Jazz. Yeah LovesReborn get a New or used Squier OR get a used American made Peavey Fury. The Peavey Fury sound as good as a Fender Precision.

used to have a cort 5'er, it was a beautiful looking instrument and i love the headstock designs they got going on, but it just sounded.. weak.. and my cort p= same deal, just weak sounding.. seems to be a theme they got going on.. as much as i loved both of those basses i'd get the squire

the one on the right, in a transparent red. I think its a great looking bass and i'd like to get another one for nostalgia purposes one day, but it'd definitely need better pups

Cort and Squiers are made in the factory. Thus I would go with the Squire considering it has a tone that won't fail in a mix and it has more style.

I own the squier, and it is great. I have a musicman sub which I used to use for band practice. After getting the squier, I brought it in when my band was recording, and ended up using it cause it just had such a good growl, and it easily cuts through the mix. I highly recommend it. That said, I have never heard to tried a cort.

wow. the recommendations here looks pretty 1 sided towards squire VM jazz.
but so far, no one who tried cort T35 gives any comment yet.
this is making me more towards getting the squire.

Alright, I got a Cort T-34, its the same bass as the T-35 in a four string. To be honest I was shocked by how much I really love that bass. I bought it without trying it first because it looked cool and there was a factory second for really cheap on eBay and it turned out to be a keeper.
But comparing the two are really apples and oranges.
The T-35 is slim, both in body and neck, I mean like Ibanez SR slim. The neck is wider side to side than an Ibanez but just as thin front to back. The Cort has an extremely modern sound, heck, it is a very modern style bass with an active two band eq, 24 frets, 35" scale and incredibly thin body.
The Jazz... is a Jazz, I dont care how many times I hear "skinny like a Jazz", its not gonna be in the Ibanez SR, Cort T35, Peavey Foundation territory... and thats a good thing. Not everybody likes the same thing. I had a Classic Vibe 60's Squier Jazz and didn't much care for it, its not to my tastes, its got a much more traditional feel and sound if that makes sense, volume/volume/tone, 20 frets, two single coils. It sounded burpy, honky, nothing like the punchy, crunchy Cort, And it just felt wrong in my hands, I like a different style of bass really.
Personally I would recommend the Cort but thats because I like that type of bass, if you dont care for a modern sound and a super skinny bass, than its not gonna be the right bass for YOU, if you do like that type of thing, then great, they are a surprisingly nice bass.
Or go with the Squier if thats your thing, its very traditional and its what everyone will tell you to get and then you will have the same bass as everyone else.
