Cranking The Bass Knob

I wash my hands after mixing hip hop and rap, just seems the right thing to do.

probably a solid move.

The other night the headliner on the stage we played was a hip-hop act...beyond the fact that the 'live' drums and bass players on stage weren't DI'd or mic'ed I commented to my drummer, "wow their mix is terrible...way worse than any of the other bands on the bill" to which his reply was "in other words, mixed like every hip-hop live show".

Update: It's awesome. Bass is cranked to 10 and the mids are on 7. Raw power.
