crazy 8 string & 24 string basses

cheers for the help guys, it looks like its the down to the custom shop for me, but if that gary goodman guy has a low C# and high Bb and Eb strings as well I could possibly get an 11 stringer made or lord forbid a 33 string bass. Even if i couldn't play it (which im sure i couldn't) it would look great in my living room. for show off purposes only.
Another thing i find it damm near impossible to find high f strings where in the world would i find Bb and Eb strings would i have to resort to using extended guitar strings what would be the guage of these?

Ken Smith, Labella, Conklin, SIT and Dean Markley offer F strings. Those are what I can think of off the top of my head.
Bill Conklin stocks Bb and Eb strings as well as C# strings.
A Stick is an instrument that looks pretty much like a 2x4 with strings. It's played by tapping and has various altered tunings as well as standard tunings. Warr guitars are built along the same concept, although with a different look.

Embellisher, one thing Fred told me was that the big advantage was definitly the final price on one of these things, the name seymour duncan costs bucks, they charge him 500$ for a 7 string version.

Power Axe what you are asking is not crazy or to far fetched at all.in my mind I conceived a 15 string Bass(5x3)and had the Worlds first 15 string Bass made.As I speak I'm having the latest version of my 15 string Bass concept made of all Graphite.I also Had the worlds first Low C# Bass string made that a few Bass Players now use today.I recently recorded a CD(that will be available soon)that showcases my Low C# Theory/Subcontra Bass Concepts on the Entire Recording.and for those who may Think I'm Bragging.I'm not i'm simply letting Power Axe know that he/she is not at all alone.the key is to move ahead with his/her Idea.

For a little more money, I'd take a Conklin GT-7 over the Galveston any day of the week and add another string (in fact, that's what I did). There's not enough space to go to 24 though!
cheers JAUQO III-X, fair play for makin the first 15 stringer, i love the sound of triple coursed strings, im the kind of guy who prefers the high end of the bass rather than the lows, i played on that dean 12 string i think it was a rhapsody or sumthing. although with a low c# and f# theres so many more notes to play, im bettin u could play sum kick a$$ solos with those, what kindof speakers and amp do u use, i bet they'd be fair big.

Thanks Power Axe.for the recording I used a Custom Made Basson 510 cab(B510SC),a 4500wt Crest Power Amp and A Demeter VTBP-201 Pre Amp.I used two different Mikes and I went Direct and I used My Adler Fretless Subcontra Bass.
I love a chalenge. If there is some-one out there who wants a 8x3 string bass and knows such a project will take time and will cost a little bit more, I am willing to find the necesary solutions (if there are any). I can only think outside the box! There is so much more room outside the box than inside. Let's build one!!

Yup. I've got an order in with Fred for a six string ThunderBee with Delanos.
