good thing you didn't - the bd has a tighter spacing already, to put an extra string on there would be pretty tight and difficult to deal with, i would think.

The preamp is the stock one with the volume, panpot, bass and treble. I reallyh wish it had a mid control, even if it is a cut / boost switch. The switch you see is for the lights.

The tuning I am using is BEADGCEA. At the moment the two highest notes are 0.022 and 0.011 I believe. The 0.011 is not working out so well, I will try and swap it for a 0.015 as that will sound less twangy. But I could live with what's on there now.

One of my songs? Errr, no. That was just me trying to think of something to play. It turned out to be the kind of stuff I tend to play on guitar... when I find some free time I'll actually write something properly to take advantage of the full range of the bass.

But thanks for the complements. I'm really pleased about this instrument, my hands were too small to do that kind of thing with the old spacing and this just suits me really well.

you can probably get in touch with sit to get an unwound .018 for that high a. i have a bass tuned with a high a and the .018 works really well with it.
