Thankfully it’s been nowhere near that hot here. Today is like 80. But tomorrow is supposed to hit 95 with serious levels of wildfire smoke settling in.

Edit: The forecast is now 99 for the next 2 days.

70's here today and 50's tonight..... still to warm for me but winter is right around the corner and that's my favorite time of the year. Between my asthma and arthritis, the three months of summer we get here in NY are brutal on me.

No idea how you west coast folks deal with anything above 75 degrees.

I used to look forward to three months of intense summer here. Now I hate those three months.

Due to the extreme risk of wildfire in its service territory and continued forecast of potentially strong winds, Lane Electric Cooperative announced Thursday evening it will implement a public safety power shutoff starting at 5 p.m. Friday through the evening of Saturday.

We only average 6 inches of rain a year so that isn’t saying much.

It's too hot. Then rains and relieves the heat some and now it's too wet. Some people are just never happy.

That rain should stay pretty far to the south of where I am. The skies are gray today but it's likely wildfire smoke; I haven't been out to smell the air. Forecast calls for 110* today and sunshine, so there's that. Tomorrow should be the start of much cooler weather.

The winds have changed up here in Seattle and the sunlight definitely has that orange forest fire smoke tinge to it. It will be hot again this weekend, but nothing like what you all are dealing with down south.

We've got a thin, smoky overcast here in Sactown today from the Mosquito Fire east of us, and it's still going to be hot, just not quite as hot.

Tomorrow's forecast is for the always-welcome Delta breeze to come in from the southwest direction and not only cool us off considerably, but also blow away the smoke.

We've got a thin, smoky overcast here in Sactown today from the Mosquito Fire east of us, and it's still going to be hot, just not quite as hot.

Tomorrow's forecast is for the always-welcome Delta breeze to come in from the southwest direction and not only cool us off considerably, but also blow away the smoke.

Thankful for that. Of course I have an indoor show tomorrow but I'll take the cooling any way I can get it. Might encourage more folks to get out the house.

The good news is we topped out around 86 today, not the predicted 99.

The bad news is it's because we're under a thick blanket of smoke from the Cedar Creek fire blocking sunlight.
