Critique my effects choices

A few other choices for you:

Menatone Mailbomb - AWESOME envelope filter that is hugely overlooked. It's about $175 If you place a good fuzz before it, it's an incredible funk machine.

Emma Discumbobulator - Very natural sounding, look for one used on ebay. It also lets you flip the envelope from up to down (if you need that)

Check out the Barber Trifecta fuzz for about $150 for a LOAD of fuzz tones in one box. It really keeps the lows and sounds great.

i'd echo the comments about the mxr m80. great super useful pedal - sounds like you want it to sound rather than just an ampeg emulator (unlessthat's what you're after of course!)
volume - ebvpjr
tuner - pitch black
filter - m82
chorus - try the mxr zw38 black label chorus. Don't be put off by it's zakk wylde association - it's a great chorus seemingly based on the analog ce5.
fuzz - it might take you years and a lot of cash to find THE fuzz for you. BBM is a good place to start.
Delay - The mxr carbon copy is very popular and for a good reason. it's a quality analogue delay at a reasonable cost. Do try the ehx memory toy/boy. keenly priced, and sounds cool.
Octave - After going through loads of them i settled with the m288 for most of my work. the mxr for me has a growlier sound which sounds better in context for me.

hope this helps!
