He essentially discovered Kate Bush when she was a teenager, and guided her development before she recorded her first album, and has had Mick Ralphs(Mott The Hoople, Bad Company)and Phil Manzanera(Roxy Music, Eno)as second guitarists in his touring bands. He's had Bowie also sing "Arnold Layne" live, fitting as Syd had a big influence on Bowie's early output.
