Crossing Genres

When I went in the post office today, the girls that work in there had bluegrass music playing on the radio. I have always admired good bluegrass musicians as well as any, even though I have never played that style of music.
As I stood at the window, the song was setting off bells in my brain, something I knew, but didn't quite add up. Then the lights came on. Signed, sealed, delivered, the old Motown hit, Wonder and Babbitt, bluegrass style. The more I listened, these guys were just killin' it! It was great.
I happened to remember in the meantime a bluegrass band in Finland or someplace in Scandinavia who have done this ever with hard rock or metal tunes. can't remember their name.
Anyway, anything along this line to share ?
Seems a worthy subject to explore.

Yes. I like certain songs to be played in a different genre than its original, mainly into reggae or latin.
