Crowther Audio Hot Cake

Is the HotCake similar at all to the Mad Prof Blueberry Bass OD (or the original BJFE version)? Obviously they've got the dessert thing in common...but tone/feel?
I haven't tried BJFE, but if you're after dark low/medium-gain OD, then Hot Cake is excellent.
