Cursive Matt Maginn Distortion

Really curious if anyone knows what Matt Maginn from Cursive uses for distortion these days. I can’t find any info other than a boss obd-3 way back in the day. I don’t think that’s what he has on the later albums though, just because it sounds so different from what he used then, but I could be wrong.

Whatever he’s using, it’s on pretty much the whole album Vitriola. If any one has pictures of his pedals or knows what it is or even something you think could make this sound, I’d love to know.

I’ve been on a never ending hunt for a good distortion for nearly 20 years and still struggling to find something that works for me. I’m loving this sound.

First off, I completely forgot Cursive existed. I've been jamming this album since last night and it's pretty awesome.

As for the tone, I found a couple pictures from the bands Instagram from the studio, and you can kinda make out his pedalboard.

Looks like Boss Tuner - Aguilar Octamizer - Mystery Black Pedal (Boss BB-1X? Metal Zone?) - Programmable Sansamp Bass Driver - Mystery Silver Pedal.

I can hear some of the driven octave stuff on the album, but no clue as to what the black or silver pedal on his board it. Hopefully another pedal sleuth can figure that one out

If I recall correctly, based off of another pic I found the mystery black pedal is a Boss ‘65 Deluxe Reverb pedal. Would also like to know what the mystery silver pedal is. He has such a great tone.
